In recent years, the world has realized the importance of becoming caretakers and not just mere consumers of the wealth of resources our planet Earth provides. As a result, more of an environmental awareness of the raw materials that make up our daily lives has come to light.
Vivid Impact is fortunate to be part of an industry where the primary raw material, paper, is fully renewable. However, there are many ways to harvest a forest, and not all of them are friendly to the environment.
In an effort to continue to be responsible members of the global economy and do our part to encourage the use of sustainable resources, Vivid Impact has sought Chain of Custody (CofC) certification. We have adopted procedures compliant with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) standards, as audited and verified by an independent certifying entity.
Monitoring by a third party ensure that certified forests are responsibly managed, harvested and renewed. Every link in the production chain, from the forest to the mill to the merchant, and ultimately, to Vivid Impact, employs monitored procedures that keep the certified paper separate from non-certified material. This keeps the chain of custody and integrity the product intact.
The end user who specifies the use of certified paper has the confidence that their printed material has come from a forest managed and harvested responsibly, with minimized impact on the environment.
Our world is growing smaller, and our thirst for resources growing larger as our population expands. By putting chain of custody practices in place, Vivid Impact is pleased to do our part in encouraging responsible management and renewal of our planet’s natural resources.
